Roopali and Andy recently lent their considerable appellate expertise to the Arizona Hospital and Healthcare Association to help preserve the expansion of Medicaid eligibility in Arizona. The two were the principal drafters of a “friend of the court” brief in the Arizona Court of Appeals arguing that the Hospital Assessment created to fund that expansion was constitutional.  On March 16, 2017, the Court agreed in a published opinion, ensuring continued access to vital healthcare for hundreds of thousands of Arizonans.
